Reviews
Comforting aromas of kuri-kinton open the nose. With water, refreshing citrus peel notes emerge, while a highball brings forward vibrant fresh fruit. Warmed, it reveals sweet aromas reminiscent of traditional Japanese confections. A versatile sweet potato shochu that offers a different expression with every serving style.

Freshly pressed aromas immediately evoke just-made sake. Bright acidity reminiscent of Hebesu citrus runs in a precise, linear line across the palate rather than spreading broadly. Delicate rice umami lingers with remarkable clarity, leaving a transparent, elegant finish.

Juicy aromas of pear and watermelon introduce a beautifully fresh bouquet. True to Houken's refined dry style, the soft richness and crystalline purity of the nakagumi (middle press) are beautifully expressed. Gentle acidity and a clean finish carry through to an elegant aftertaste.
