About the Brewery
Kanemitsu Shuzo is a brewery that began a new chapter when its owner, Hideki Kanemitsu, who had not previously found sake appealing despite being born into a brewing family, encountered a transformative cup that led him to seriously pursue sake brewing. Through self-study, he refined his techniques and achieved a Gold Medal at the Annual Japan Sake Awards using Hiroshima-grown Senbon Nishiki rice. Since then, the brewery has maintained consistently high evaluations, applying its refined techniques across all products while pursuing sake that leaves a lasting impression by highlighting the character of carefully selected local rice.
