About the Brewery

Yoshida Shuzo is a junmai-only brewery based in Eiheiji, Fukui, dedicated to sake brewing rooted in the local terroir. Using only rice grown in Eiheiji, the brewery oversees the entire process from rice cultivation to brewing, guided by the belief that no sake can surpass the quality of its raw rice. Beginning with soil preparation, the brewery carefully cultivates each rice field according to its unique character and strives to bring out the full potential of each year’s harvest. By treating Eiheiji’s nature, rice, water, and people as one interconnected whole, Yoshida Shuzo continues to craft sake that embodies the concept of “Eiheiji terroir” and reflects the character of its land.
