About the Brewery
Kuramoto Shuzo, founded in 1871, is located in Tsuge, Nara, within the Yamato Highlands. At an elevation of around 500 meters, the brewery benefits from a cold climate with significant temperature variation and soft mountain water filtered through its own land. By embracing the local environment and dedicating time and care to each brew, it produces sake with gentle depth and complexity. While honoring tradition, the brewery continues to explore new possibilities in sake, expressing a style unique to its land and heritage.
