"Chitose Winery is a pioneering winery rooted in Hokkaido’s cool climate, established in 1988 as the northern base of Grace Wine. Since becoming an independent company in 2011, it has focused on producing distinctive wines that express the character of Hokkaido’s unique terroir.
With contract vineyards in Yoichi, one of Japan’s most promising cool-climate wine regions, Chitose Winery cultivates Pinot Noir and Kerner under meticulous care. These grapes form the foundation of its flagship brand “Kita Wine,” known for its elegant structure, vibrant acidity, and refined balance. The winery also produces wines from Haskap, a rare berry native to Hokkaido, creating expressive fruit wines that highlight the region’s agricultural heritage.
