About the Brewery
Founded in 1955, we are an awamori maker on Ishigaki Island.
Named ‘Yaesen’ to evoke the springs of the Yaeyama Islands, we brew on a small hill overlooking these isles.
We pursue brewing that fuses tradition and innovation—for example, combining labor-intensive direct-fire distillation with long-term barrel aging.
