About the Brewery
Born into the awamori family of Kikunotsuyu Shuzo, I have lived surrounded by people who passionately make awamori, sell it, and support it in many ways. Awamori has always been close to me. Perhaps that’s why, when I think about it again, I realize how truly wonderful a spirit it is. The taste is delicious, and when everyone gathers around awamori, we enjoy such joyful times together.
In life there are happy things and unpleasant things. Precisely because of that, I believe awamori has value. At the end of the day or during a holiday moment, you drink awamori—alone is fine, but if possible with family, friends, and companions, chatting idly and laughing. With such time, you can think, ‘I’ll do my best again tomorrow.’
It may be an ordinary moment, but it is an irreplaceable moment in life. Through awamori, we at Kikunotsuyu wish to keep delivering such happy moments.
