Sake
About the Brewery
Nagurayama was founded in 1919 by the founder Zenroku Matsumoto, and was initially sold under the brand name ``Takemasamune''. Around 1932, the brand was changed to the current name ``Nagurayama'', named after the beauty of Mt. Nagurayama on the shores of Lake Inawashiro, and we have continued to focus on the quality of our sake. In 1971, at a time when sweet sake was the mainstream, we began producing ginjo and junmai sake and offered it to general consumers. Today, we continue to pursue new flavors that meet the demands of the times, based on the traditions continued by our predecessors.
