About the Brewery
Kamejikomi "Yamanomori" is the oldest brewery in Iki, founded in 1899. The main ingredients are rice malt, barley, and Iki's groundwater. The manufacturing method has been passed down since its founding, using 1/3 rice malt and 2/3 barley, and continues to maintain the traditional method of brewing both the primary and secondary processes in jars. The mash is distilled under normal pressure in each pot, and the parts with stable quality are collected and stored and aged to maximize the aroma. Handcrafted using seaweed techniques since the company's founding, it produces a deep and rich flavor. Its quality has been highly praised, including winning the Gold Award for the second consecutive year in the 2012 Fukuoka Regional Taxation Bureau Liquor Appraisal Honkaku Shochu category.
