About the Brewery

Sato Sake Brewery was founded in 1906 (Meiji 39) in Kajiki-cho, Aira-gun, Kagoshima Prefecture. Later, in 1952, the company moved to Makizono-cho and established Sato Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. In 1970, it joined the Kajiki Sake Brewery Cooperative Association, but left in 1984 and became independent again. Since then, we have continued to support the history and shochu culture of the region.

The company's philosophy is to ``take pride in the history of Kagoshima, the birthplace of authentic shochu, and the passion of the people who have supported shochu,'' and they always strive to make high-quality shochu while preserving tradition. We produce shochu with sincerity and passion, building a trust that is rooted in the local community.

Sato Sake Brewery continues to grow as a company that contributes to society, with respect for the people who have supported the brewery, and by valuing the distribution of shochu that connects hearts through shochu.
