About the Brewery


Oyama Jinshichi Shoten is a traditional brewery founded in 1875, and continues to preserve the kametsu pot brewing techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. Located near Tosen Gorge in Ibusuki City, Kagoshima Prefecture, with a rich water environment that has been selected as one of the 100 Best Water Villages, we carefully produce shochu using the groundwater of Miyagahama as brewing water. Masu.

Ibusuki is characterized by a warm subtropical climate, and the Miyagahama Distillery produces shochu that reflects the climate of southern Satsuma, using locally grown sweet potatoes grown in the area's fertile soil. We also started producing craft gin in 2019, and are working on gin that is rich in regional characteristics and utilizes locally produced botanicals.

While valuing tradition, we continue to communicate the charm of our local area by taking on the challenge of creating new flavors.
