Kyohime Sake Brewery was originally established as ``Okamoto Sake Brewery Limited Partnership Company,'' and has become popular mainly in Osaka under the brand name ``Hanajiman.'' In 1970, the name was changed to ``Sekaitaka Sake Brewery Co., Ltd.'', and in 1997 to ``Kyohime Sake Brewery'' in honor of the 1200th anniversary of the founding of the Heian capital.
