Tasaki

Tasaki Sake Brewery is a long-established shochu brewery located in Ichikikushikino City, Kagoshima Prefecture, which was founded in 1886 by the first owner of the company, who discovered water that has been described as ``a precious water rarely seen since ancient times.'' For more than 100 years since our establishment, we have been working on making shochu using high-quality sweet potatoes and water with an uncompromising attitude. Tasaki Sake Brewery's signature brand, ``Tanabata'', originates from the ``Ichiki Tanabata Odori'', a traditional local event.

The Tanabata Dance is a brave and colorful event held in the Osato area on July 7th of the lunar calendar (currently a Sunday close to August 7th of the new calendar) to pray for a rich harvest and express gratitude to the gods. Tasaki Sake Brewery continues to make shochu inheriting tradition while respecting local culture and nature.
