About the Brewery
FUJIMARU is an Osaka-based winery based on the concept of "making wine a part of everyday life." In 2010, they began cultivating grapes mainly on abandoned farmland in Kashiwara City, Osaka Prefecture, and currently manage fields of over 2 hectares. We carefully grow local grape varieties, including Osaka's specialty Delaware.
In 2013, we established our own winery in the center of Osaka city. By producing wine "in the middle of the city," we provide a place where the region of origin, winemakers, and consumers can come together. We have also opened a negociant winery in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa, Tokyo, and are developing wine making using only Japanese ingredients.
FUJIMARU's wines emphasize delicacy rather than flashiness, and are designed as drinks that accompany Japanese cuisine and home dining. With a sense of mission to spread Japan's wine culture and pass on Osaka's grape production area to the next generation, we continue to take on challenges that combine tradition and innovation.
