About the Brewery
Nakamura Wine Kobo is a family-run winery founded in 1993 in the Asuka district of Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture. The founder, Mr. Mitsuo Nakamura, decided to become a winemaker at the age of 65, and cleared the mountain by himself and maintained well-drained fields. It took him six years to obtain a brewing license, and he and his family began the journey of making handmade wine.
Genji Nakamura, the second generation of the current owner, is working hard to improve the quality of wine in the fields inherited from the first generation. We use home-grown grapes, and in order to bring out the natural power of the natural ingredients, we carefully thin the flowers and hand-select each grain one by one. We produce approximately 10,000 bottles of wine annually, using a manufacturing method that prioritizes quality over efficiency.
Currently, they grow a variety of varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Delaware on their approximately 3-hectare homestead. Our aim is to ``make delicious wine,'' and we continue to work with the cooperation of our families and local communities.
