About the Brewery

Founded in 1636 by the first Mr. Kurouemon Hashimoto under the trade name Ashinaya, Hatsukame Sake Brewery in Aoi Ward, Shizuoka Prefecture is the oldest in Shizuoka Prefecture and the 31st in the country. It's an old sake brewery. In 1876, the company acquired a sake brewery in Okabe-cho, Fujieda City, and began operations as its second brewery. After that, we consolidated our warehouse in Okabe Town.
The name ``Hatsugame'' was chosen with the hope that it would ``shine brightly like the first day and prosper forever like a turtle.'' In 1967, it won first place in three major competitions and released ``Daiginjo Ai''. In 1977, they released ``Treasure Daiginjo Kame,'' which was sold for 10,000 yen at the time, and became known throughout the country as the ``Hatsukame of Daiginjo.''
Hatsukame's hand-brewed sake, which values sake brewing that is in harmony with the rich nature and food culture of Shizuoka, is characterized by its modest sweetness, sourness, and elegant aroma.
