About the Brewery
Komorokko Farm & Wineryt searched all over Japan in 2016 and started growing grapes in Komoro City, Nagano Prefecture. In 2019, abandoned cultivated land was reclaimed and seedlings, mainly European varieties, were planted. The first harvest was in 2021, and Komorokko Farm & Winery opened in March 2023. Komoro City is characterized by abundant sunlight and large temperature differences, and currently grows 18,000 grapes on a 6.5 hectare field. Using farming methods that respect nature, we are taking on the challenge of making wine that takes advantage of the soil of Komoro.
