About the Brewery
Kisvin Winery is a locally-based winery that grows high-quality wine grapes and produces wine, based in Enzan, Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The third generation, Yasuhiro Ogihara, took over the family business in 2001 and incorporated it in 2009. Furthermore, in 2013, we established our own brewing facility and began full-scale wine production. With a cultivation area of 5 hectares, we focus on growing high-quality grapes from the soil using scientific management methods that incorporate photosynthesis, plant hormones, and soil analysis. Brewer Mayu Saito draws on her experience in Burgundy and California to pursue delicate and traditional brewing techniques. We continue to maintain thorough quality control and innovation, and make wine that takes advantage of the local climate.
