About the Brewery
The name of Asaya Wine comes from the fact that the founder, Takazo Amemiya, inherited the name "Asaya" from the liquor store where he worked as an apprentice in 1923. For more than 90 years since our founding, we have continued to make wine that takes advantage of the local climate in Katsunuma, Yamanashi Prefecture, the birthplace of Japanese grapes. We carefully prepare high-quality grapes grown in the earth and sun of Katsunuma using cultivation and brewing techniques passed down from our ancestors, producing wines with the unique personality of Katsunuma.
