Okutone

Okutone Winery is located in a cool climate area at an altitude of 700 meters at the western foot of Mt. Akagi, approximately 10 minutes by car from Showa I.C. on the Kanetsu Expressway. We have been growing European grapes here since 2000, and producing wine using hand-picked grapes in a vast 3ha field. The grapes are carefully grown from soil preparation to winemaking to bottling, making wine that takes advantage of the uniqueness of each year's terroir. The winery is family-run and has a homely atmosphere. Children's lunches are also available at the hotel's restaurant, where they can enjoy meals and walks amidst the vineyards and natural scenery. Because of our small size, our winemakers are able to bring out the individuality of the terroir to the fullest and offer carefully selected wines.
