About the Brewery
Wine Farm Tochio is a winery that started in Tochio, Niigata Prefecture in 2001 with the aim of creating a local industry. Starting with the restoration of abandoned farmland, we have progressed to growing wine grapes through repeated trial and error. In the harsh natural conditions unique to this region, we cultivate the tenacity of our grapes and carry out thorough management with an emphasis on "pre-disease" to prevent disease.
The grapes absorb water from the spring snowmelt, producing wine that is soft and fresh, yet has a strong umami flavor that is typical of Tochio. Even with the same field and variety, you can enjoy the unique characteristics of the climate each year. We offer an experience where you can feel the blessings of Tochio's nature through wine.
