About the Brewery
Shirakami Winery produces wine at a roadside station in Nishimeya Village, Aomori Prefecture, at the foot of the World Natural Heritage Shirakami Mountains. The Shirakami Mountain Range boasts one of the world's largest virgin beech forests, and the village that benefits from this forest is known as the "water source village."
At the winery, we use natural yeast collected from this rich nature, and in order to maximize the aroma and richness produced by the yeast, we are particular about brewing "raw" without heat treatment. The wine made from the clear water of the Shirakami Mountains and carefully selected grapes is a drink that allows you to enjoy the blessings of nature itself.
