The Furano City Grape and Fruit Research Institute was established in the 1960s with the aim of producing wine in Furano because the climate is similar to that of Europe, the home of wine. At that time, there were almost no grapes other than wild grapes in Furano, but research into cultivating grapes for brewing progressed, and with the support of many people's passion and research for over 50 years, Furano Wine was born. did. This winery's basic policy is to "promote local agriculture," and they produce wine using only locally grown grapes. Furthermore, the red wine ``Kannobanbo'', which uses the new variety ``Furano 2'', which was created by crossing wild grapes with ``Sabel 13053'', has also received high praise.
