About the Brewery

``Tsukiura Wine'' started making wine in Tsukiura, Abuta Town about 20 years ago, based on the philosophy that ``Good wine comes from good grapes'' and ``Winemaking is made with grapes.'' In order to grow high-quality grapes, we searched for land with excellent climate, topography, and geology, and established vineyards overlooking Mt. Usu and Lake Toya. We have gone through a lot of trial and error regarding soil improvement, variety selection, and cultivation methods.
In the spring of 2000, as the trees grew older and our own fields were established, we were able to overcome the eruption of Mt. Usu and obtain a license to produce fruit wine. This has created a consistent environment from cultivation to manufacturing and management. By controlling yields, conducting strict fruit selection, and harvesting by hand, we aim to maximize the characteristics of the grapes and produce ``one wine from one vine.'' "Tsukiura Wine" emphasizes the process of producing "wine" directly from the field, rather than making "raw materials" in the field. Our aim is for consumers to enjoy this wine packed with the blessings of nature.
