About the Brewery
Aizawa Farm, located in Tokachi, Hokkaido, grows grapes completely without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, despite the harsh climate conditions. In 1998, we began cultivating on a remote farmland, and in 2004 we expanded the farm by clearing a mountain forest. We do not use pesticides and are considerate of the natural environment, planting many types of trees in the surrounding area to foster the diversity of the ecosystem. Pest control is done by hand and also uses the power of nature. In 2016, the area suffered significant damage due to typhoons and long rains, but it continues to cultivate in harmony with nature.
