About the Brewery
Kanbai Sake Brewery is a family-run sake brewery with a history spanning over 100 years. The sake brewery is still small, and continues to be brewed with a small number of people with a lot of time and effort. In 2018, the "Miyakanbai" will be handed down to the next generation, making it something like an heirloom. When brewing sake, we cultivate rice in our own fields in search of the ideal rice, and assess the mood of the rice while feeling the power of nature. Miyakanbai aims to create casual and modern sake that both sake connoisseurs and beginners can enjoy. With a love for our hometown of Miyagi, and a name that has spread throughout the country and even overseas, Kanbai Sake Brewery will continue to work hard and create sake that will please even more people.
