Tatenokawa

Since its founding in 1832, Tatenokawa Sake Brewery has consistently pursued quality while contributing to the development of Japanese sake, food, and agriculture culture. Our goal is to spread ``MADE IN JAPAN'' to the world as a comprehensive alcoholic beverage company aiming for sustainable growth by sensitively understanding the changes of the times and creating products with high added value. Its origins date back to 1832, when a vassal of the Uesugi clan visited Shonai, was amazed at the quality of the water, and encouraged the first Heishiro clan to try making sake. Mr. Heishiro started a sake mash manufacturing business, and then started a sake brewing business in 1854. The following year, when the sake was presented to Lord Sakai, the lord of the Shonai domain, he was greatly appreciated, and he was given the honor of naming the sake ``Tatenogawa.'' Under this historic sake name, we continue to pursue high-quality sake brewing.
