Tatsuma Honke
Sake
About the Brewery
Tatsuma Honke was founded in 1662 by the first Mr. Kichizaemon Tatsuya, who dug a well in Nishinomiya and began brewing sake using clear water. ``Barrels are necessary for sake brewing,'' he began making barrels, and this spirit became the business foundation of Tatsuma Honke Sake Brewery. In the late Edo period, it established an unshakable position as ``Nada's famous sake,'' and even after the Meiji period, it continued to pursue high quality while also making efforts to expand overseas and contribute to the local community. Today, at Rokkogura, we continue to utilize traditional techniques to produce sake that can be enjoyed in a relaxed manner.
