Kojima Sō-honten

Toko is a sake brewed by Kojima Sohonten, which was founded during the Azuchi-Momoyama period and later served as the official liquor store of the Uesugi family. Aiming for first-class quality, we continue to challenge ourselves to provide rich culture and spirit. Toko is based on an appreciation for the blessings of nature, such as rice and water, and values ​​sake brewing that brings out the individuality of each. The brewer carefully prepares the sake, relying on the power of natural ingredients and microorganisms, and emphasizing handwork. In addition, we aim to be a sake brewery that is open to the world, seek recognition, strive for innovation, and take on the challenge of producing sake that represents Japan.
