About the Brewery

Since our founding in 1985, Munemasa Shuzo has brought the heart and taste of our hometown to customers through authentic shochu Nonnoko and sake Munemasa. We are deeply grateful for the guidance and support of everyone who has loved us to this day.
To further pursue ‘creating happiness through alcohol’ and ‘true hand-crafted brewing,’ and to share that spirit with more people, in March 2002 we built the Munemasa Shuzo ‘Arita Kura’ within Arita Porcelain Park in Arita, a town that has nurtured 400 years of ceramic history. We simultaneously expanded our facilities as a tourism brewery so that visitors can widely experience our brewing.
Adjacent Arita Porcelain Park faithfully recreates the Zwinger Palace of Dresden, Germany—the flower of Baroque architecture—in the town of Arita ware, which fascinated European royalty and influenced world ceramics from the 17th century onward. Inside are exhibits of Arita ware from the late Edo to Meiji periods that amazed the world. The park also features a hands-on Arita ware studio, Japanese restaurant, buffet, and souvenir shops. We will continue enhancing the facility as an easy, enjoyable tourist destination offering brewery tours and tastings of brewery-exclusive labels.
