About the Brewery
Kitaya was founded in Yame, Chikushi Plain, in 1820 at the end of the Edo period, and boasts a 200-year history. Since our founding, we have had a strong desire to ``convey joy through alcohol,'' and the name ``Kitaya'' was given to us as our store name. Today, we continue to cherish that spirit, protect and nurture Japan's sake culture, and make sincere efforts to create products that convey joy and excitement.
