About the Brewery
The predecessor of DHC Sake Brewery was Oguro Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., which was founded in Toyosaka City, Niigata Prefecture in 1899. Since our founding, we have been brewing high-quality sake using underground water from a tributary of the Kaji River. The company became a corporation in 1950, and in 1982, it launched the ``Koshinoumeri'' brand, which gained recognition nationwide. In 2009, we launched the ``Kazan'' brand, achieving sake brewing that combines tradition and innovation. In 2014, DHC invested in the brewery, which later became DHC Oguro Sake Brewery and became the current DHC Sake Brewery, which continues to offer richly flavored sake in harmony with the nature of Niigata.
