About the Brewery
Rokuchoshi Sake Brewery is located in the foggy village of Nishiki-cho, in the center of the Kuma Basin, and is a brewery that has inherited 500 years of history and traditional techniques, using the abundant rice and clear groundwater of the Kuma River system as raw materials. Among the many Kuma shochu warehouses, we are particularly focused on storage aging using atmospheric distillation, and are focusing on refining our storage techniques. For example, for storage aging, it is important that the temperature does not change much throughout the year, and in order to avoid exposure to high temperatures in the summer, air conditioning equipment is installed in the barrel storage room with insulation. We created conditions similar to those in the Scottish Highlands, including 24-hour temperature control. The famous sake ``Rokucho'' that was born in this way is not just an intoxicating drink. We create a complete world with labels and bottles that match the quality. The main product ``Tokugin Rokucho'' has a label designed by Mr. Keisuke Serizawa, a living national treasure who is a leading expert in stencil dyeing, and the old sake ``Shingetsu'' has a label using the calligraphy of artist Moriichi Kumagai. I am using. We are letting many people know about the wonderful world of storage-aged sake, and proving that Kuma shochu can be compared to the world's famous sake.
