Shochu

About the Brewery

Fukuda Sake Brewery is a shochu brewery founded in Hitoyoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture in 1933 by the first generation Mr. Kunihiko Fukuda from Reihoku Town, Amakusa District. Based on the principle of "quality over efficiency," we pursue bright and refreshing sake quality in a clean environment and thorough management. While inheriting the 500-year-old tradition of Kuma shochu, we have continued to advance technological innovations such as the introduction of automatic koji making equipment in 1963 and the remodeling of our factory in 1981. There are currently four main brands: ``Sanga'', ``Hanatebako'', ``Taru Mikoshi'', and ``Gokujo''. Since 1965, it has received high praise, including winning 37 honorable mention awards at the Kumamoto Regional Taxation Bureau Liquor Awards. We are a brewery that combines tradition and innovation to create delicious shochu every day.
