About the Brewery
Founded in 1823, Fukano Sake Brewery continues to uphold tradition and quality with the philosophy of "quality production rather than mass production." There is an artificial ditch that was built 400 years ago, and from July to August, the water surface is colored with Himameika algae. When you step into the brewery, you will be greeted by the cool air and the sounds of the brewery, such as steam, fermentation, and distillation. In a completely handmade storehouse lined with clay turtles that were handmade 150 years ago, the brewer relies on sound to discern the delicate process and cultivate flavors that suit the times while preserving tradition. Tours and tastings are also possible, and you can sample the treasured sake that has been aged for 10 years, demonstrating the commitment to manufacturing and the courteous hospitality.
