Shochu

About the Brewery

Harada Sake Brewery is a brown sugar shochu brewery located in China Town, Okinoerabu Island, located 552 km south of the Kagoshima mainland and southwest of the Amami Islands. Surrounded by untouched nature and the beautiful sea, this island is also known as a scenic spot, and is a place rich in nature where whales can be seen migrating in front of the brewery during the winter season, and sea turtles can be seen all year round. . This brewery focuses on long-term storage, based on the belief that ``In order for a small brewery to survive, it must produce delicious brown sugar shochu with unique characteristics.'' The representative brand ``Shoryu'' is a long-aged sake that has been aged for over 5 years. Furthermore, we boast a diverse lineup, including ``Mangetsu'' aged for 3 years and brands aged for over 10 years. By blending unprocessed sake that has been specially flavored in barrels, we have achieved the richness, rich aroma and mellow taste that can only be achieved through atmospheric distillation. The name ``Shoryu'' comes from the image of a dragon rising towards the full moon, and is popular as the brewery's signature brand.
