About the Brewery
Kirishima Distillery, founded in 1911 (Meiji 44), is blessed with a rich natural environment overlooking the Kirishima Mountain Range and the clear stream of the Kirishima River. Using turtle pots that have been passed down since our founding, we produce traditional authentic shochu, including our representative brand, ``Akiaki Rural.'' Throughout the year, you can watch the shochu manufacturing process, as well as sample and purchase shochu and liqueurs. In 2013, we obtained international quality standard ISO9001 certification and are focusing on quality control.
