About the Brewery
Nakamata Sake Brewery is a long-established brewery with a history dating back to the Edo period, and began producing shochu in 1904. The locally loved brand ``Yoro'' has been loved by local people for many years. The brewery uses carefully selected koji rice and sweet potatoes as raw materials to make shochu while preserving traditional techniques such as hand-scooping, filtration, and storage in jars.
Taking advantage of the factory renovation, we have established a new system to handle everything from manufacturing to sales. This enables stable supply and sales planning, and strengthens efforts to spread Kagoshima's shochu culture throughout the country. Nakamata Sake Brewery, which is rooted in the region and widely disseminates its appeal, continues to move toward the future while valuing the tradition and quality of shochu.
