About the Brewery
Wakamatsu Sake Brewery was founded in 1719 by the first generation Mr. Wakamatsu and Mr. Yaemon as the "Minato Liquor Store," and has been producing shochu for over 300 years, passing on the taste and techniques. This tradition, which began in Minato-cho, Ichikikushikino City, Kagoshima Prefecture, has a long history, with the company holding the oldest existing alcoholic beverage manufacturing license issued in 1888.
