Founded in 1883 (Meiji 16) by the first Mr. Ichisuke Komasa in Kagoshima, Komasa Jozo is headquartered in Hiyoshi-cho, Hioki City, on the west coast of the Satsuma Peninsula, and manufactures and sells mainly the authentic shochu "Kotsuru." Masu. With the motto of ``making shochu that shows the faces of the producers,'' we aim to create products that are safe, secure, and thrilling, and we combine traditional techniques passed down for more than 130 years with new manufacturing techniques. Our activities continue to evolve every day based on our management philosophy of "creating joy together."
In this area overlooking the blue East China Sea, the clear spring water from the Shirasu Plateau supports the production of shochu along with the blessings of the earth. Based on the shochu culture of Satsuma, which has a history of about 500 years, Hioki Distillery uses a manufacturing method that combines tradition and the latest technology. We produce shochu with a rich flavor and deliver it to many people with passion and joy.
