About the Brewery
Sanwa Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. was established in 1953 when three sake breweries that had been in the sake brewing industry since the Meiji era merged with the idea of valuing the ``Three Harmonies.'' At the time of our founding, we created ``Sanwa Tsuru,'' which featured three ``cranes,'' a symbol of elegance and good fortune, and aimed to create a product that would be loved for many years to come, with a nod to the crane, which symbolizes longevity. Currently, we have moved our base to Kagoshima City and continue to make shochu using traditional methods that focus on pot preparation and wooden barrel distillation. ``Satsuma Shochu'', which is manufactured using ``Satsuma sweet potatoes'', ``Satsuma water'', and ``Satsuma manufacturing methods'', has been recognized as an international brand and is popular as an alcoholic beverage that is closely related to people's lives.
