About the Brewery
Iwami Winery is Japan's first wine-brewing facility located in a national park, located at the foot of Mt. Sanbe in Shimane Prefecture. This region is blessed with a climate with varying temperatures and beautiful nature, providing an environment where high-quality wine can be produced while enjoying the scenery of each season.
We have a vineyard of approximately 4.7ha, and carry out everything from cultivation to brewing and sales. Advocating winemaking that is ``faithful to the basics,'' we value bringing out the natural flavors to the fullest without making excessive flavor adjustments. Although produced in small quantities, the wine has a well-balanced sweetness and acidity and has gained a lot of support. They also make apple wine, and their facility is characterized by a facility where you can observe the manufacturing process through glass.
The winery has a shop and an outdoor restaurant, and is also linked to Iwami Winery Hotel Misato, where you can enjoy pairing experiences with local ingredients. It is a tourist base where you can fully enjoy the charm of Shimane Prefecture while enjoying the nature of Mt. Sanbe.
