Kawachi

Kawachi Wine is a winery rooted in Kawachi-Komagaya, Osaka, with a history of over 80 years. We have worked together with the local food culture and people, aiming to create wine that can be used as a Japanese drink to liven up conversations and brighten up moments with loved ones. The history of Kawachi wine is also a "history of connections" that has been woven together with the thoughts of local grape farmers, winemakers, and local people. Founder Tokuichi Kindo started making wine in 1934, and since then has produced wine made from 100% grapes grown in Kawachi. With the desire to deliver comforting Japanese wines that go well with Osaka's home-cooked meals, we have continued to engage in activities that collaborate with local culture, such as by establishing Kawachi Wine Hall, and are currently taking on new challenges for the future. .
