About the Brewery
Shinano Wine is a historic winery founded in 1916 in Kikyogahara, Shiojiri City, Nagano Prefecture. Grape cultivation and winemaking techniques passed down through four generations have created a unique style that takes full advantage of the local natural conditions. We offer a wide range of wines using a variety of grapes, including Niagara, Concord, Merlot, and Chardonnay, harvested from our own farms and contracted farms.
Kikyogahara has the perfect conditions for growing wine grapes, with a large temperature difference between day and night, volcanic ash soil, and good drainage. Based on the grapes grown here, Shinano wine is carefully brewed with great care, from new sake to aged wine.
We continue to develop innovative products such as additive-free wine, barrel-aged wine, and sparkling wine, and have won numerous awards at domestic and international competitions. At the wine shop, you can enjoy wine filled with the blessings of the region through a tour of the underground cellar and tastings.
