About the Brewery
Yamato Winery is a traditional winery located in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. The company's founding dates back to 1912, when Yasutaro Hagiwara, the 13th generation, contributed to the establishment of the Kurihara Winery Association (currently Katsunuma Fujikko Winery). Along with the history of the Hagiwara family, which dates back to the early Edo period, they have continued to make wine without sparing any effort.
Rather than a large-scale tourist facility, the wines are carefully made in a calm environment, providing visitors with a special time. We also carry Kai Draft Beer, a local beer from Yamanashi, so you can enjoy a variety of flavors. Since 1990, we have been developing new brands and are attracting attention as a winery that combines history and innovation.
Wine and beer tastings are available for a fee, and the concession stand is open. Please enjoy the taste of Yamato wine, which boasts a long history, on-site.
