About the Brewery
Founded in 1724, Saura served as a sacred sake brewery for Shiogama Shrine in the latter half of the Edo period, producing traditional sake. Sake is a symbol of the culture that has been nurtured over 2000 years of Japanese climate and history, and is deeply rooted in people's lives.
Saura's basic policy is to ``make real sake with care and sell it with care,'' and we strive to brew high-quality sake with all our heart. Our mission is to deliver richness and comfort to consumers and spread the appeal of Japanese sake widely through honest and careful sales.
In order to continue to be a sake brewery that is trusted by people, we will further refine our quality and strive to create high-quality sake in line with tradition.
