About the Brewery
Shikishima Winery is located at the southern foot of Mt. Kayagatake in Yamanashi Prefecture, and has been focusing on grape cultivation since its founding. We use only grapes grown on our own farm, and practice natural farming methods with no herbicides or reduced pesticides. The farm is located at an altitude of 550 to 640 meters above sea level, with long sunshine hours and a large temperature difference between day and night, making it an ideal environment for grape cultivation. They grow 14 types of grapes and produce nearly 30 types of wine. We are particular about in-house cultivation and brewing, and make wine that takes full advantage of the local natural environment.
