About the Brewery

Sadoya is a long-established winery founded in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture in 1917. The founder, Seizo Imai, advocated the philosophy of ``producing world-quality wine using Japanese grapes,'' and promoted full-fledged winemaking using brewing varieties imported from France. Chateaubriant was born in 1946, and since then it has been loved by many drinkers as Japan's representative wine.

The brewery, which has an underground wine cellar and restaurant, allows you to experience the history and wine culture of Sadoya, and is a popular tourist spot. Sadoya's wine, which takes advantage of the local climate, has a highly fragrant and elegant taste, and is acclaimed as a masterpiece that goes well with both Japanese and Western meals.
