About the Brewery
Belforet Katsunuma Winery is a winery based in Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture that conducts everything from grape cultivation to winemaking. We manage a farm of approximately 3 hectares mainly in Katsunuma Town, and grow a variety of varieties including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Koshu, and Chardonnay. Each farm has different geological and climatic conditions, which allow them to grow unique grapes and produce wines that make the most of their individual characteristics.
Brewing takes place from August to October and is carefully controlled until aging and bottling. In addition to still wine, we also produce full-fledged sparkling wine through secondary fermentation in the bottle, and our sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay from our own farm has received particularly high praise.
The premium series ``Trois Joie'' is produced in limited quantities in carefully selected years as a wine that can be enjoyed by grape growers, winemakers, and drinkers. The winery continues to pursue quality, and its reputation continues to grow both domestically and internationally.
