About the Brewery
Kurambon wine is named after a word that appears in Kenji Miyazawa's fairy tale "Yamanashi" and expresses the wish for coexistence with nature. In 1913, Mr. Nagasaku started making wine using his own grapes, and in 1962 he established it as Yamanashi Wine Brewing Co., Ltd. After that, it became a stock company in 2006 and changed its name to its current name in 2014. The winery is located in the Iwai district of Katsunuma-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture, and cultivates grapes in collaboration with the local community, focusing on Koshu and Muscat Berry A.
Owner Takahiko Nozawa uses the knowledge he learned in France to create wine that incorporates organic and natural farming methods. We value wine that goes well with Japanese food, and aim to create a flavor that is loved on the daily dining table. Visitors can experience a sense of harmony with nature through tastings and vineyard tours.
